Sunday, December 3 – JCCV Christmas Family Picnic

This event will again be at Braeside Park which proved a popular venue last year. Not far to drive, bring the family and everything else including food, drink, table and chairs or picnic rug, and presents for any children you bring up to age 12 years. Santa will be on hand to present these gifts. See November CAT-A-LOG for more details.

Some reminders – bring a Christmas gift to the November or December club meetings

Each year we ask JCCV club members to bring an unwrapped children’s gift for the Smith Family Christmas Appeal. Bring a new gift suitable for a boy or a girl. Please be generous. The Smith Family organisation will see that all gifts are delivered to a needy family.

Clean as Casper contributions still needed

Clean as Casper, a small voluntary organisation that provides mobile hot showers for the homeless in Melbourne’s south east suburbs, was thrilled with the two large bags of toiletries and towels they collected from the clubrooms recently. More toiletries and used towels are always needed so a clean-out of the linen and bathrooms cupboards should yield some more useful items for the organisation.
