Description

April is the month we typically pause and take time to remember our ANZAC’s, thanks to ANZAC Day on Thursday April 25. This year ANZAC day will be closely followed by the Jaguar Car Clubs monthly run to the Vietnam Veterans Museum on Philip Island.
We hope you can join us on Sunday 28 April, departing from the club rooms at 9.30am and driving straight to the Museum, a beautiful and easy 90 minute drive. On arrival you will be greeted with homemade scones and tea/coffee at 11.00am. Those wishing to drive to the museum directly or meet the convoy along the way at Cranbourne, Tooradin, Grantville or another safe place to wait, are more than welcome to do so. Or, just arrive at the museum at 11.00am. You would not want to miss these scones!
At 11.30 our tour of the museum will commence. You will not be disappointed, even if you have been there before. A special element will be if some of our own club members who are themselves Vietnam Vets join us to share their stories.
Following the museum visit we have reserved seating at La Porchetta in Cowes for those wishing to lunch. We suggest you group together with other members and share a pizza, anti-pasta or enjoy your own lasagne. Whatever your choice, it will be a good time to recall your museum experience over lunch before your journey home. And of course for those that can, there are plenty of places to stay on the Island. Why not enjoy a lazy Monday sleep in followed by a beach stroll and long breakfast before your drive home.
You must book and pay before Thursday 25 April for the
Morning Tea and Museum Tour Package of $17.00per person
Using TryBooking click here. The total cost of $17.00per person is well worth it for what will be a very memorable day out.
Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday 28 April.
The Social Team
Ian, Judy, Grant and Bernadette wish to offer a very big thank you to Karen and Alan McKinnon for organising this monthly social club run. Any other members wishing to stage a monthly club run please see the social team and we will help you with the organisation.
